Material & Finish Selection

Materiality You Can Feel

Materials shape the tactile and visual character of an interior. I consider stone, timber, plaster, metal, glass and textiles for their appearance, performance, durability and relationship with light.

Natural finishes are selected with attention to texture, craftsmanship and variation.

Why It Matters

Material decisions affect long-term maintenance and performance. Junctions, transitions and changes with age need to be considered alongside appearance.
